Vintage style illustrations and classic oil paintings come to life as the story and narrative unfolds on the inner surface of the lid. Historical brand stories and brand timelines are also printed on the inside of the lid to create a dramatic contrast to the lipstick itself.

Core-Dyed Antique Kraft & Dark Boards: These heavy weight pulp boards are dyed throughout the core of the board in deep colors such as sepia, vintage maroon, forest green and colonial charcoal. Because the core is completely colored, when the board is folded at a 90 degree angle, such as at the corners or along a seam, it will never develop cracks and reveal the underlying white of the paper fibers.

Ultra-Dense Anti-Warp Greyboard Chassis: Made with 1200gsm to 2200gsm high-density industrial greyboard. The chassis will remain a flat panel with flawless geometric squareness even in the worst of retail climates.

Artisanal Surface Craftsmanship & Embellishments

From the classical motifs and rococo filigrees to the gothic typography, we finish these items using cosmetic-grade heavy industrial surface finishes.

Deep Multi-Level CNC Brass Die Embossing: We create intricate borders, Victorian frame details and logos as embosses into thick paperboard under high pneumatic pressure. The 3D relief is very sharp and casts beautiful shadows on the surrounding area just as if it were a wax seal from the ancient times.

Aged & Matte Hot Foil Stamping: We don’t do bright and shiny golds here. Instead we use Antiqued Gold, Burnished Bronze, Champagne or Copper foils that melt into the texture of the paper to create a beautiful and long lasting effect that won’t peel, crack or flake.

Drip-Off / Selective Matte & Gloss Varnishing: Offers a very unique tactile contrast to most varnishes. This varnish has a gritty, sand like texture in a matte finish that is oil resistant. In direct contrast to the background, selected oil painting graphics or vintage logos are raised to a high gloss, and reflect off of in a crystal clear, mirror finish.
