Custom Windowed Color Boxes (Die-Cut Window Packaging)

In today’s retailing environment, ‘seeing is believing’ for many consumers. Until they can see and examine a product they are less likely to purchase it. That is why we have created a Windowed Box section within our premier Color Boxes department. Internationally referred to as Die-Cut Window Folding Cartons or Clear Window Patching Boxes, these boxes have one thing in common – they allow the product to be clearly seen prior to purchase whilst still providing excellent product protection.

View your product in a whole new light with our innovative view-thru printed inner folding cartons that are seamlessly integrated into a solid rigid paperboard outer case. The high-tech inner view panel is precision-cut to exacting tolerances using advanced high-speed automated window patching equipment. And the film is precision-cut to the exact line using high-precision die-cutting with sharp, clean cut-edges. These color customized windowed cartons are ideal for high-end make-up products; boutique confectionery and artisan producers; and a wide variety of other innovative packaged consumer products, ensuring maximum visibility and prestige packaging identity.

High-Clarity Film Variations:

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) – The retail standard. PET is environmentally friendly, very scratch resistant and 100% recyclable. With excellent optical clarity PET looks just like glass.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): A flexible and cost-effective material with excellent tensile properties and ease for heat sealing.

Matte / Tinted Films: Our Matte / Tinted Films are perfect for the niche brand looking for a semi-transparent, hazy look that adds an air of mystery to your product and high-end concept to your packaging.

Our Structural Cardstock Foundations range from 300gsm to 450gsm Premium SBS White Cardboard printed C1S/C2S for bright retail printing or Heavy-Duty Natural Kraft Paper for our organic & eco-friendly product lines.

Our die-cut matrix can also create innovative cut-out shapes – as opposed to standard square and rectangular cutouts, which are so typical for packaging. Instead we produce organic silhouettes, geometric cutouts, company logos as well as abstract cutouts, which for example correspond to the product’s contours.

Advanced Automated Window Patching & Craftsmanship

Unlike lower-tier manufacturers that hand-glue windows (resulting in unsightly smudges of adhesive, and misaligned edges) our high-volume industrial manufacturing of windows uses heavy automation.

Automated Window Patching Technology: Using the latest technology to seal your windows using micro-meter precision to place the food-grade film on the interior edges of the window with uniform food-grade adhesive application to avoid film bubbling, corner peeling and glue leakage.

Drip-Off / Reverse Matte Varnishing: An elite coating technique to create a rough, grainy textured matte finish background on your cardboard while selected areas of graphics receive high-gloss finish. The contrast of this finish to the smooth ultra-glossy surface of your PET window is unbeatable to human senses.

3D Spot UV & Precision Hot Foil Stamping: Run lines of metallic Gold, Rose Gold or Silver around the die-cut window to give your packaging a real luxury look. Use raised 3D spot varnish to the cut-out edges for a tactile experience that encourages consumers to pick up the box.
