Custom Simplified Airplane Boxes (Lightweight Mailer Packaging)

The shipping package is often the last physical touchpoint that a customer encounters with a brand in the DTC subscription box space or premium retail delivery model. Our Color Boxes are designed to be a brand touch point and we have developed a Simplified Airplane Box (which we internally classify as a Simplified Mailer Box / or Roll End Tuck Top [RETT] Carton) that is a streamlined version of the typical heavy duty shipping box found on the market today.

These innovative and portable packaging solutions are designed to shrink down excess packaging mass without compromise to the structural integrity of the original item. They are printed and folded into simple, easy to use mailing solutions that resemble the iconic boxes used by airlines and mailers. The simple locking sides of these double-walled boxes require no tape or glue for assembly. Structural Perfection & Optimized Unboxing Design

The well known interlocking design of the “airplane” structure (Roll End Tuck Top with dust flaps) from around the world has been simplified and is now modified for the requirements of modern logistics for growth.

One-Piece Folding Architecture: This box is shipped flat with precise creasing lines calculated by computer. The box is completely folded up to full 3D shape in seconds, thus saving massive amount of time for packing.

Double-Wall Side Panels. The side panels are folded to create Double-Wall thick protection. In the folded configuration the side walls are Double-Wall thick horizontally providing protection against crush to safeguard fragile items like cosmetics or gadgets in transport by courier.

Integrated Front Lock Tabs. The front of the lid of the box has extended locking tabs that drop into the front slot matrix on the box to give the box excellent tamper evidence and dust proofing without the need for outer structural tapes.

Advanced Material Engineering: Cardstock vs. Micro-Flute

To create a “simplified” profile, which greatly reduces volumetric and material weight, we offer two very robust substrate options that are suitable for very sensitive articles:

Heavy-Weight Premium SBS Cardboard (350gsm to 450gsm): The top choice for small luxury items like cosmetics, jewel cases, and luxury vials. It offers an ultra-crisp folding memory and a pure white, clay-coated canvas that yields unmatched Pantone color precision.

Micro-Flute Corrugated Board (E-Flute or F-Flute Paperboard): This packaging combines the heavy cardstock linings found in Paperboard with a very thin internal wave medium. It is ideal for the absorption of impact by heavier objects such as electronics as well as fragile liquids and maintains a very thin, yet strong, packaging profile, similar to that of a typical paper box.

100% Eco-Safe Kraft Linerboard. Made from high-tensile long fiber unbleached pulps, 100% Eco-Safe Kraft Linerboard is completely recyclable and bio-degradable to meet the demands of the sustainable retail of new eco-conscious e-commerce consumers.

High-Definition Offset Printing & Luxury Crafts

These simple mailers are your brand’s ambassador in the mail. We print them on heavy-duty multi-color Heidelberg offset presses using a wide array of finish options to create a truly multi-sensory package.

Cohesive Printing on Dual-Sides (Interior & Exterior): Open it up and surprise your customer with what they find inside. While the exterior of the corrugate showcases simple, space efficient, creative logistics graphics the inside can be a totally different and fun direction such as colorful graphics, custom print logistics branding messages and more abstract art.

Drip-Off / Reverse Matte Varnishing: This high-end coating is a great way to experience Elite contrast. It is a textured, grainy matte background with finely focused, spot-lit gloss artwork elements, such as logos or motifs.

Precision Hot Foil Stamping & 3D Spot UV printing – highlight your brand instantly as it arrives at your customer’s doorstep. Highlight your main brand logo on the top of the box with fine lines of hot foil in Gold, Rose Gold or Silver that have been perfectly adhered into the fibers of the paper.

Anti-Scratch Matte / Gloss Lamination. An essential outer layer of protection against scratches and finger prints. It will also prevent water-drop ink from bleeding on the carton during handling while traveling in intense international courier environments.
